Description
Soured by civilization, Jeremiah Johnson sets out in
the mid-1800s to be a mountain man, seeking
solitude in a wilderness whose purity he never
questioned. His first Rocky Mountain winter almost
kills him. Starving and nearly frozen, he finds refuge
with an old trapper (Greer) whose survival teaching
includes going eyeball to eyeball with a grizzly.
Robert redford and two-time Academy Award winner
Sydney Pollack teamed for the second of their six
films together on this box-office hit shot entirely in
Utah. Jeremiah Johnson "gets back to Nature" in a
way no film ever has before or since.
